Steel dancers 2005.
2.5mm galvanised steel and 3mm mild steel cut outs mounted onto a wall with bolts. The steel does not lie flush on the wall. There is a 5cm space between wall and galvanised steel and 10cm space between wall and mild steel to allow for the effect of shadows. The sculpture, made up of 5 dancing figures, was all silver at installation but as the seasons changed and rain fell the three untreated mild steel figures began to rust and turn from silver to burnt ochre and sienna. Time will gradually finish the work.
